NAD+ 100mg
Nicotinamide Adenine Dinucleotide (NAD+)
NAD+ is a naturally occurring coenzyme found throughout the body and is fundamental to cellular energy metabolism. It exists as part of the NAD+/NADH redox pair, helping cells transfer electrons during metabolic reactions involved in producing ATP.
NAD+ also participates in a number of important cellular processes, including mitochondrial energy metabolism, DNA repair, cellular signalling and regulation of proteins involved in stress responses. It serves as a substrate or cofactor for enzymes including sirtuins and PARPs.
Key Research Areas
• Cellular energy production and mitochondrial function
• Redox balance and electron transfer
• DNA repair and cellular stress responses
• Metabolic signalling
• Sirtuin and PARP activity
• NAD+/NADH cellular homeostasis
NAD+ levels and metabolism are actively studied in relation to ageing, metabolic health and cellular function. However, research into NAD+ supplementation and direct therapeutic applications continues to develop.
